Covid-19

We are open to help you embrace the great outdoors with your family and make the most of a socially distanced summer! The safety of our guests and staff is our priority, and we have implemented a new resort plan for a cleaner and healthier environment, in accordance with all CDC and MN policies. We are striving to continue to provide you an enjoyable, relaxing north woods experience, as “normal” as possible. You will receive an email from us two weeks prior to your stay with more specific details and requirements prior to your stay.

Cleanliness & Sanitation

  • We’ve implemented a 2-step thorough cleaning and hydrogen peroxide disinfecting protocol per CDC & MN Dept. of Health guidelines with additional staff.
  • All mattress pads & sheets will be laundered by a professional service following CDC guidelines for each new guest. We will provide a few blankets per cabin (1 per bedroom), but no comforters at this time. We kindly request that you bring your own pillows and additional blankets. We have a limited amount of extra blankets available upon request.
  • All cleaning/grounds staff will be screened prior to entry, including temperature checks per State of MN Dept. of Health screening guidelines.
  • Hand sanitizer stations will be provided throughout resort grounds for your use.  Please practice frequent handwashing with soap for 20 seconds.

Masks & Gloves

  • Cleaning & Grounds staff are required to wear gloves and masks when working in cabins and interacting with guests.
  • Guests are required to wear masks in the office, in the fish house if there are two families, and suggested outdoors when social distancing can not be maintained.

Check-in/Out and Online Store

  • To streamline check-in and avoid multiple groups gathering at the office, we will implement a pre-registration process vs. having you come to the office upon arrival. This will be emailed to you 2 weeks prior to your stay.
  • For the same reasons and to limit the frequent handling of money, all transactions need to be via credit card.
  • The office and store will be open to two families at a time with masks required. Pizza, ice cream, gas, clothing, and other items will be available.
  • At this time we made the difficult decision to push back check-in time to 4pm on Saturdays for weekly rentals as even with additional staff, we must allow adequate time to clean and disinfect the cabin.

Amenities & Activities

  • At the resort you can enjoy the cabin area decks & patios, our uniquely spacious grounds, updated hiking trail and explore our nearly 100 acres of private forest.
  • Also available are lake swimming, boating & fishing with your own family, in your own boat or our rental fishing & pontoon boats, which staff will thoroughly disinfect between guests. A signed Boat rental contract is required. Kayaks & paddleboards are available to be checked out for use, with our disinfecting protocol.
  • The office is open to two families at a time, masks required. The fish cleaning house is open to one family at a time, or two families at a time with masks & distancing.
  • The beach, basketball, volleyball, campfire area, raft and water slide are open with social distancing and sanitation protocol. Individual fire pits are also available; see manager for details.  The playground structure is not available due to difficulty ensuring social distancing and sanitization.
  • The Loft rec area and the Laundry may be reserved for one family at a time, and will be sanitized in between guests. The game room is closed due to difficulty in enforcing social distancing, masks and sanitation.
  • Resort activities will be offered to families, with social distancing and sanitation protocol. Some activities will require sign-up to manage groups and provide sufficient space/distancing for families.
  • Area Golf courses and outdoor activities are available in the area as described on our website such as Deep Portage outdoor learning center, the Paul Bunyan trail, and a new take-out restaurant in Longville.

Social Distancing

  • We require guests to continue to practice social distancing with 6-ft between non-family members.
  • Per MN Dept. of Health guidelines, group gatherings are limited to 50 people.

We apologize for the inconveniences this may cause you, but these are necessary measures for us per state and national directives, and we hope they make you feel comfortable about your stay. We trust that you will still be able to enjoy the resort and its beautiful up north surroundings. Please check back to our website as the latest information will always be posted here, as government and resort policies evolve. We will reach out to you via email 2 weeks prior to your stay with more details. Stay safe and be well.
